Empowering our community through education, mentorship, and opportunity.
Learn MoreThe Phillips Community Enrichment Center (PCEC) is a safe, supportive space dedicated to addressing the needs of children, youth, and families in our community. Through impactful programs, committed volunteers, and strategic partnerships, we build pathways to lifelong success and community well-being.
A thriving, equitable community where every child, youth, and adult is equipped to learn, lead, and live with purpose— strengthening families and neighborhoods by Transforming Lives One Person at a Time.
PCEC advances charitable, scientific, and educational purposes by providing a safe, structured learning environment. We address the real needs of children, youth, and families through mentoring for boys and men; empowerment and support initiatives for women; after-school tutorials and academic enrichment; college scholarships; summer leadership experiences for youth; and community resource workshops and family engagement events—building pathways to lifelong success and stronger communities.
One-on-one and group mentoring for boys and men that fosters leadership, positive decision-making, goal setting, and life skills development.
Workshops, support groups, and resource connections that strengthen women’s confidence, skills, and opportunities to succeed personally and professionally.
After-school tutoring, STEM programs, literacy support, and study skills training to help students achieve academic excellence.
Financial assistance for deserving students pursuing higher education, helping remove barriers to their academic and career goals.
Summer travel experiences that expose youth to new cultures, leadership challenges, and personal growth opportunities.
Practical sessions on financial literacy, career readiness, health and wellness, parenting, and civic engagement to strengthen community resilience.
Since our founding, PCEC has grown from a grassroots vision to a thriving community hub. We reach hundreds of lives annually through education, mentorship, empowerment, and outreach. Our work directly addresses local needs while inspiring long-term growth and change.
The Phillips Community Enrichment Center (PCEC) was birthed from the Phillips Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Huntsville, AL. The church felt the growth of the outreach programs were expanding and needed to have its own nonprofit organization to meet the needs of the community.
The Phillips Community Enrichment Center was legally formed on November 22, 2021 with the adoption of the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. The Executive Board was formed and PCEC received its 501c3 letter from the IRS on April 1, 2022.
PCEC sponsors mentoring programs for young boys and men, empowerment and support initiatives for women, after-school tutorials and academic enrichment programs, summer leadership trips for youth, and community resource workshops and family engagement events.
PCEC is continuing to expand as it takes to heart its mission to “Transform Lives One Person at a Time.”
